    V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Review

The V-MODA M-100 is a very close relative to the same company’s M-80 on-ear headphone, with a few design and sound differences. For one, it’s larger than the M-80, making it a bit more comfortable. Despite the size difference, the M-100 is pretty light, weighing in at 280 grams. The ear cushions are memory foam and covered in faux leather, giving them a tight seal on your ears to cancel out surrounding noise. However, the pressure on your ears is a bit heavy, so this headphone stays put on your head as you move around, but it can get to be a bit much after only a few minutes. Reverse bending the headband makes them more comfortable, fortunately. The headband itself is lightly padded, but has the same problem regarding its pressure on your head and its comfortability. So let’s continue this V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Review.

All V-MODA headphones are sturdily built, designed to be able to withstand just about anything you can reasonably throw at them. The M-100 can survive over 70 impacts from a fall of six feet onto a concrete floor and the headband, which is steel-reinforced, can be flattened ten times and still return to its original curve.
When it’s not in use, the ear cup connector hole can be fitted with a tiny plug to prevent dust and dirt from falling into the ear cup. It’s a nice little accessory that really shows V-MODA’s attention to detail.
The headphone’s cable also has a secondary input that V-MODA refers to as SharePlay. It lets a friend plug their own headphone into the cable and listen to your music at the same time.

V-MODA also offers a “Boom Pro” microphone for broadcasters or gamers, which offers impressive sound quality for the receivers of your voice. There’s also an optional coiled cable with a locking connector made specifically for DJs.

V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Review: COMES WITH A STURDY CLAMSHELL CARRYING CASE

In terms of the accessories that come standard with the M-100, there’s a 6.3mm adapter jack that’s gold-plated, and a sturdy clamshell carrying case. The cardboard box that this headphone comes in can also be considered an accessory. If you throw away the external paper wrapping it, the white box can be used as a carrying case.

MASSIVE BASS AT THE EXPENSE OF SOME MIDRANGE TONES

In this V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Review we found that this headphone has potent, powerful bass that is provided by its larger-than-average 50mm drivers that are in each earcup. It’s full and rich, with great clarity. The clarity of midrange and treble tones, however, suffer slightly from the attention on bass. It’s still fantastic with most music, despite the focus on bass.
