Beats Powerbeats 2 Wireless Review
The original Powerbeats were as great as digging up an old bone you had forgotten about long ago. They were advertised by LeBron James himself, which played a major part in their success. Because of this, they leave some pretty big shoes to fill for the Powerbeats 2 Wireless Headphones to fill as their successor. Let’s get to the Beats Powerbeats 2 Wireless Review.
These headphones are available in five colors: cobalt blue, red, white, black, and yellow. The wire connecting the two earphones is adjustable through the use of a little slider piece that allows you to lengthen or shorten the wire easily and quickly.
The Powerbeats 2 Wireless Headphones feature sleek ear hooks of the that easily and comfortably keep them from falling out of your ears. These hooks can also be bent to adjust them to the individual shapes of your ears, making them that much more effective to use. However, due to the hooks, the earphones may not fully fit into your ears despite the adjustability of the hooks themselves. This lets in outside noise, which is incredibly useful for activities such as cycling and going for a walk where it’s important to be able to hear what’s going on in your surroundings. This imperfect fit also keeps the headphones feeling comfortable for a far longer time than better-fitting options.
Like a lot of earbuds, you can also use the Powerbeats 2 Wireless Headphones as a headset. They feature an inline microphone and remote in the wire, which allows you to use them to make voice calls. The remote aspect lets you adjust the volume of your music, skip back and forth between tracks, and adjust the volume of your music when paired to an iOS device. When paired to an Windows or Android device, the only features available are the volume control and the ability to answer calls.
Beats Powerbeats 2 Wireless Review: A BATTERY LIFE THAT’S NOTHING TO BARK AT
The Powerbeats 2 Wireless Headphones use Bluetooth 4.0 to pair with your device. They also have a micro USB port for charging. They have a battery life of 6 hours, which isn’t anything to bark at, but is pretty decent regardless. There is also a feature that Beats calls the “Quick Charge!”, which gives these headphones a battery life of one hour when charged for 15 minutes.
In this Beats Powerbeats 2 Wireless Review we found the bass to be clear and easy to listen to, unlike the over-emphasized bass of comparable Beats headphones. The amount of bass is fantastic, giving it the tail-waggingly good quality that we love it for.
CAREFUL NOT TO DRAIN THE BATTERY
Unfortunately, when disconnected from your phone’s Bluetooth, it doesn’t automatically turn off. This can lead you to assuming that the headphones are off and then attempting to use them the next day only to find that their batteries are completely drained, which is annoying to say the least.
Like any other Beats product, the Powerbeats 2 Wireless Headphones are quite expensive, but if you love running with headphones, these are a great option!

Summary Overall, these headphones are a fantastic choice for sports and other athletic activities. They’re amazingly comfortable to wear with only a small amount of extra cordage that could potentially get caught on something. They feature a balanced yet powerful bass that lets you really get into the spirit of your music but also allow in enough background noise to keep you grounded in reality just enough to react to what’s going on around you. Howling bass isn’t particularly useful when you can’t hear cars coming, after all. Their battery life isn’t the greatest, but I think that the real problem is if you need to be working for 6 hours straight.
